Hello Parents,

Please have your child wear their favorite sports team or jersey on Friday 4/7.  It’s the Detroit Tiger’s Opening Day!

Over the next few weeks we will be learning about different spring holidays around the world.  A few that will be discussed are Passover (a Jewish festival), Easter (a Christian celebration) and Vasakhi (a spring harvest festival in India).  Please ask your children what they learned in the coming weeks!

The science fair is Tuesday 4/18 from 5:30-7:30pm.  Everyone is welcome to attend, but science projects are for students age 4 1/2 and older.  Not every student 4 1/2 must participate- it is optional.   If you and your child decides to do a science project, please help your child with the project and bring it to school by April 17.  If you have any questions, please ask your child’s teacher.  If you need ideas, we’ve started a Pinterest page and there are ideas posted there.  We will add more as we find them! Novi Woods Pinterest Page

Earth Day is April 22.  The week leading up to Earth Day we will be learning all about recycling and taking care of our planet!

Parking Lot Safety:  Please be careful in the parking lot.  Always go EXTRA slow.  It is a tight space and all drivers should be aware of other cars backing out or watching for children.  Also, we have a school bus that stops to pick up and drop off latch key children. We’ve noticed that some cars are pulling around the bus to enter the parking lot.  Remember the rule is if a school bus has its red lights on, you must stop.
