School News 3/5/18

It’s hard to believe it’s March already!

Thank you for being patient while we update the security system at school.  Soon, you will need your own 4 digit code to enter the building.  This code will be the same as the code you use to check your child in.  Ms. Geanine will let everyone know when these codes are active.  Until then, please keep using our current system.

Classroom News

February was Black History Month and we learned about famous African-Americans such as scientists, athletes and more.  This month we also focused on the continent of Africa, learning about music, food, culture and geography!

Each class talked about community helpers like firemen, doctors, police, construction workers and more.  We also learned about dental hygiene!

On President’s day classes learned about presidents Lincoln and Washington and they did some coloring and crafts.

Wild animals/rain forest rounded out our month and we will continue with rain forest this  next week.

March is reading month!  Make sure you read to your child each night.   This past Friday we learned about Dr. Seuss and read some of his books.

This month we focus on the continent of Europe.  We will also celebrate St. Patrick’s day.

Our other themes for this month include insects, plants & flowers, spring and parts of a turtle.

We want to welcome some new teachers to our school in the past couple of months– pictures will be posted soon!
